Ankle Problems

P1020304The vast majority of ankle sprains respond rapidly to the McKenzie Exercises.

Even if the sprain is severe and involves considerable swelling, it is safe to commence the exercises immediately as long as the pain is better and movement is easier straight after 1-2 sets of the repeated movements. 

Chronic ankle conditions that may have been present for months or years are equally as likely to respond rapidly as the acute injuries, and so a trial of repeated movements can quickly identify if you will respond within 1-2 days. 

 

Some other common foot/ankle conditions that often respond to McKenzie Method Ankle exercises are:

  • Achillies Tendon Problems
  • Plantar Fascia Problems
